Charity:  Gift’s for All God’s Children

This charity began in 1987 at Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, Michigan.  That year 187 children in Detroit from 3 churches received Christmas gifts.  In 2023, 3,029 children from 48 partnering churches and organizations received a total of 18,000 gifts.  Since 1987 more than 83,000 children have benefited.

The intent for our donation to develop a tutorial program for children in Detroit for K-7, providing transportation, publicity, tutors and materials.  They also have a goal to start a middle school program to enrich the lives of these students in the same ways.  Their mission is to be a conduit of God’s generous love by providing resources focusing on the needs of underserved children while connecting them to Jesus.  They do this by encouraging churches and organizations to work together to support spiritual, academic, and social growth in these children.  Their vision is a world where all children are thriving and connecting to Christ.
