The Gospel reading has hard words for us hear; Brother against brother, children against parents, followers of Christ hated for His name's sake. We hear of those moments when following Christ has cost us everything. But then right in the middle ... sparrows. The God who created heaven and earth watches over even the smallest and weakest creature. If that is true for sparrows, how much more is it true for you.
