mEAL DONATION FOR pAN de Vida and St. Paul Pontiac
As you know, our Ignite Youth Program brings in youth from Pan De Vida Lutheran in Detroit, and St. Paul Lutheran in Pontiac. Many of these youths come from families who rely on the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) program. With the Federal Government Shut down, the SNAP program is not available to assist families in enough food for the holidays.
Cross of Christ would like to help out these families for Thanksgiving. We are sponsoring 16 family dinners for thanksgiving (8 for Pan DeVida and 8 for St. Paul).

We are asking Cross of Christ members to donate Turkey’s, Canned Goods, Boxed Goods, and Desert items to give these families a better Thanksgiving. Please see our Sign up sheet to sign up to donate these items. Items can be brought into the church starting Sunday November 16th (Turkeys will be stored in Church Freezer until we deliver). Aldi and Walmart are selling full Thanksgiving dinners. There are also options to donate money to purchase these meals (Cross of Christ staff will go to store to purchase).
